Residents Share During the Holidays

Residents of La Posada have been celebrating the holiday spirit with many outreach opportunities.

During the week of November 9th, they collected a car full of donated food items in participation of the Thanksgiving "Food for Families" program with WPTV.
On November 17th and 18th, a special shopping bazaar was held with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the "Susan G. Komen" foundation for the cure of breast cancer.
To "Support the Troops", residents collected signed holiday greeting cards for a care package to deployed service members in Afghanistan and Iraq.
For every sweet tooth with a sweet heart, the community hosted a combined resident and staff Holiday Bake Sale to benefit the Salvation Army. Total proceeds amounted to $350.00.
La Posada residents have a new reason to gather around the Christmas tree. Photos of grandchildren are proudly displayed on a lobby tree for all to see.
The La Posada Chorus, lead by resident Ethel Bennett, will perform for the community on December 19th, after two months of practice.
La Posada was selected to host the first Masterpiece Living Lyceum in February 2009. The opening reception will be held on Tuesday, February 10th with a resident produced talent showcase to greet guests.
