More than a wellness program, Masterpiece Living® is a revolutionary whole-person, whole-community initiative promoting successful aging and engaged living. It is a comprehensive, research-based, and measurable alternative that will help older adults age better.
• Q. What is the Successful Aging philosophy?
  Masterpiece Living® is based on a 10-year study into the principles of “Successful Aging” by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. This study determined that only 30 percent of physical aging can be attributed to genes and revealed lifestyle decisions as a key factor in aging. Masterpiece Living® is bringing the remarkable implications of this study to life by helping seniors make the kinds of choices that contribute to a long and healthy life.
• Q. What makes La Posada unique?
  The development of La Posada is based on a foundation of careful research obtained by surveying South Florida seniors. The results of this study have been quite conclusive, with many common responses. Overwhelmingly, area seniors told us they want spacious residences, a flexible lifestyle with convenient services and amenities, an environment where fellowship with friends and a variety of activities are readily available, and most importantly a lifetime health care plan that guarantees independence for the future. At La Posada, we are delivering all of these things and so much more. And we are proud to introduce a brand-new, extraordinary lifestyle program called Masterpiece Living(R). La Posada is one of only three communities nationwide to offer this innovative concept in senior living today.
• Q. Does moving to La Posada make sense for someone who enjoys traveling?
  One of the advantages of moving to La Posada is that you’ll be free to take off at a moment’s notice. We’ll look after your home and take care of the mail so you won’t have to worry about a thing while you’re away. You can simply lock the door and leave.
• Q. What happens if I need something fixed in my apartment home or villa?
  Simply call the front desk and they will send someone to fix it. Maintenance is our responsibility. And, if you would like someone to hang that heavy mirror, you will have it done right by someone you can trust.
• Q. Will I have Internet access at La Posada?
  Yes, you will be able to correspond with family and friends all over the world by electronic mail at La Posada’s computer center. Keeping in touch with family and friends is fun and easy. We will gladly show you how.
• Q. How can I tell if I can afford the monthly fee?
  If you take out your checkbook and make a list of everything you spend for real estate taxes, utilities, maintenance, lawn service, cable television, food, transportation, security, etc., most people find that they are spending about the same amount on their house as they would for the monthly fee at La Posada.
